Important Update on Instant Brands Distribution in New Zealand

In December 2024, Instant Brands US announced a strategic shift in its distribution model for the Australian and New Zealand markets. As part of this change, distribution responsibilities are moving away from their Australian subsidiary. Effective 1 July 2025, CDB Group will manage the distribution of Instant products across both Australia and New Zealand.

This change marks the end of the long-standing supply relationship between Instant Brands Australia and Fackelmann NZ. Instant Brands' decision reflects their preference to partner with a dedicated electrical wholesaler to more directly service the appliance retail channel.

Following this announcement, Fackelmann NZ and CDB Group initially worked to establish a sub-distribution agreement for the supply of the Instant Pot Pro Series to independent and specialty retailers in New Zealand. However, due to recent developments and the direction of the new distributor, it has become clear that continuing this arrangement in the independent housewares channel is no longer tenable.

The new distribution arrangement will come into effect on 1 July 2025. Until then, there are no changes to current operations or product availability.
