Important Update on Instant Brands Distribution in New Zealand
In December 2024, Instant Brands US made the decision to move distribution of Instant products away from their Australian subsidiary. This change affects the long-standing supply relationship between Instant Brands Australia and Fackelmann NZ.
Instant Brands has since appointed CDB Group to manage distribution across both Australia and New Zealand. According to the company, the decision reflects a preference to work with a dedicated electrical wholesaler to service the appliance retail channel more directly.
Following this announcement, Fackelmann NZ has worked with CDB Group to establish a sub-distribution agreement. Under this agreement, Fackelmann will continue to supply the Instant Pot Pro Series to independent and specialty retailers in the New Zealand market.
The new distribution arrangement will come into effect on 1 July 2025. Until then, there are no changes to current operations or product availability.
Fackelmann NZ will retain distribution of the Instant Pot Pro as part of the sub-distribution agreement.
The Pro model remains a key product in the range, valued for its versatility—combining pressure cooking, slow cooking, sautéing, and more in one appliance. With customisable cooking programs and an upgraded inner pot design, it continues to meet the needs of households looking for flexible, time-saving solutions. Its continued availability through Fackelmann reflects ongoing demand from independent and specialty retailers across New Zealand.
